Do you celebrate April Fool’s Day? In French speaking countries, April 1st is known as “Poisson d’Avril” or “Fish of April.”
April is also known as Poetry Month, and as I’ve planned to post an audio poem a day throughout the month of April, here is my first poem, actually two poems, to get us started.
Each of these poems is about a foolish fellow, totally fictitious, of course. They both hail from Kootenay Lake, which, by the way, has an abundance of fish, which makes these two poems appropriate for such a foolish, fishy fest (though the poems are about rocks, not fish).
Here we go. Come back tomorrow for another audio poem or two or five.
